Day 1 – Chicago July 6
Depart pickups and travel to Chicago for an overnight.
Day 2 – (D) Anchorage July 7
Guests fly from Chicago to Anchorage where they will be met via John Hall’s Alaska motorcoach and transferred to the Hotel Captain Cook for the evening. A welcome dinner awaits guests at the hotel.
Day 3 – (B, L, D) Denali National Park July 8
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before boarding your luxury motorcoach in Anchorage for a scenic journey to the expansive landscapes of Denali National Park! Stop at Dream a Dream Kennels in route to experience dog sledding, Alaska style including lunch. Relax at Denali Bluffs Hotel this evening, your home for the next two nights.
**Optional helicopter trip around Mount Denali available for purchase.
Day 4 – (B, L, D) Denali National Park July 9
Today guests will embark on the 42-mile journey into the park early this morning. The 42-mile trip will take approximately 6 hours. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch upon returning to the entrance. Enjoy this early afternoon at your leisure.
Day 5 – (B, L, D) Denali National Park to Talkeetna July 10
Mid-morning depart Denali aboard the Alaska Railroad Goldstar Service including lunch as you make your way to Talkeetna. Your evening is free to explore the historic town of Talkeetna.
Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge tonight.
Day 6 – (B, L, D) Talkeetna and Alyeska July 11
Start your day with an exhilarating morning jet boat tour of Devil’s Canyon including lunch. Afterwards, journey south for an overnight at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage.
Day 7 – (B, L, D) Seward July 12
Guests depart this morning and continue the trek down the Kenai Peninsula to Seward for a Kenai Fjords National Park and Wildlife cruise. This 8-hour cruise encompasses glaciers and a variety of wildlife. Return to Seward for an overnight at Seward Windsong Lodge.
Day 8 – (B, L, D) Homer July 13
Enjoy breakfast and head across the Peninsula to Homer, where guests experience the home where Alaskans have a weekend getaway. After lunch, the rest of the afternoon is free for guests’ leisure. Enjoy dinner at leisure this evening.

Day 9 – (B, L, D) Homer Free Day July 14
Today guests will enjoy an optional activity including hiking, kayaking, fly-out bear viewing, winery/brewery tour or fishing. Regroup this evening for a farewell dinner to remember your new Alaska memories and experiences.
Overnight Aspen Hotel and Suites.
Day 10 – (B, D) Homer and Anchorage July 15
Guests enjoy breakfast before traveling back to Anchorage via- motorcoach. On return, check into your Anchorage hotel for a relaxing afternoon.

Day 11 – (B, L, D) Katmai National Park July 16
This morning guests embark on an early flight to visit Katmai National Park and see the bears feasting on salmon. This unique experience only happens during July with salmon run up the stream. See the iconic Brook’s Falls with massive Coastal Bears. Lunch will be served at the lodge before taking return flights to King Salmon and Anchorage. Dinner awaits at the hotel on your return to Anchorage.

Day 12 – (B) Anchorage Activity Day July 17
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Today is a day of rest and leisure for guests. Optional excursions will be available for guests to purchase including flightseeing, bear viewing, golfing, spa experience and hiking.
Day 13 – (B) Fly Home July 18
Transfer to Ted Stevens International Airport for your scheduled flight home.

These tours involve a variety of active experiences including hiking, climbing steps, or longer walking tours. We recommend a good level of fitness to enjoy these tours. On occasion, you may need to walk with your luggage for a short distance from transportation to your accommodations which may involve stairs. These tours may be difficult for anyone with a mobility device such as a walker or cane.
